Marci Adilman was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Pace Academy before matriculating at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated with honors with a BFA in Acting. After undergraduate school, she was asked to complete an internship with the esteemed classical theatre company, Aquila Theatre Company, where she acted as assistant to the producing artistic director, and as an ensemble actor in a number of off-Broadway and touring shows, and as stage manager. After her time with Aquila, she started a small, off-off Broadway theatre company with colleagues from NYU, where she produced and performed in a number of original plays. After ten years in New York City, Marci moved to Los Angeles to continue pursuing a career in acting on stage and in film/TV. Her love of language, children, and communication led her to her current career in Speech-Language Pathology. She decided to go back to school, and she completed her masters degree, graduating with honors, from California State University: Los Angeles where she received two, merit based scholarships. During graduate school, Marci interned with Glendale Unified School District and with the neurological outpatient rehabilitative center at Cedar Sinai. She accepted her first job as a speech-language pathologist with Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest school district in the nation, where she remained for three years before moving back to her hometown, Atlanta, GA. Currently, Marci works as an SLP for Marietta City Schools as well as in private practice that serves children in their homes, daycares, and schools.   • Talk Tools Level 3 therapist (multitude of courses including courses on TOTS, feeding, apraxia, dysarthria, autism, down syndrome, oral-motor therapy, etc.)

  • PESL Accent Reduction

  • LSVT Loud

  • Hanen Programs "It Takes Two to Talk" and "More than Words"

  • Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT) 4 day introduction course

  • Lindamood Bell's Visualizing and Verbalizing

Marci currently resides in the metro Atlanta area with her husband, Matt, their Yorkie, Sheldon, and their African Sideneck Turtle, Don Julio.
